COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs Police officers arrested a man early Friday morning for fleeing after they tried pulling him over, then found he had heroin on him.
An officer tried pulling over 22-year-old Justin Inouye around 6:11 a.m. near East Fountain Boulevard and Murray Boulevard for an expired temporary license plate tag.
Inouye sped off, and officers found the car abandoned a short time later.
An officer saw Inouye running from the car and caught him in a nearby Safeway parking lot. That's when he found Inouye had heroin on him.
Inouye will be charged with possession of a schedule I controlled substance and other traffic charges.
