COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs Police officers are looking for two men who woke a homeless man and shot him several times.

According to officers, the man was sleeping in a culvert under the midland trail near Vermijo Street and 17th Street when two men woke him up. One shined a flashlight in his eyes, and the other shot him several times in the leg.

The man said both suspects are white men in their teens or early 20s. Both are "shorter" with slight builds. One was wearing a blue shirt and the other was wearing a black shirt. Both were wearing black hats on backwards.

Officers said there were no witnesses, but they are asking anyone with information to contact them at (719) 444-7000.
