COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- A driver who fled after crashing into another car Tuesday evening was arrested after trying to run following his second crash of the day.

Colorado Springs Police officers arrested 45-year-old Abdill Saez Tuesday evening.

Saez allegedly hit a car in the 3800 block of Lakehurst Drive around 5:15 p.m. while driving, then fled the scene. He then later hit a car at the intersection of Union Boulevard and Pikes Peak Avenue, drove South on Bijou Street instead of stopping and hit two parked cars.

Saez then got out of the car and started running but was caught by officers a short time later.

One of the officers recognized Saez as the man from the Lakehurst hit-and-run.
