PUEBLO, COLO. -- A man who was riding a motor scooter was killed in Pueblo Thursday afternoon after being hit by a Jeep.

According to Pueblo Police officers, a 19-year-old woman stopped at the stop sign at Indiana Avenue while driving south on Pine Street around 3:28 p.m.  She then drove into the intersection, where she hit the 26-year-old man on the scooter, who was riding west on Indiana.

The man was taken to the hospital, where he died about an hour and a half later.

Officers are continuing the investigation and have talked to witnesses. They have not said who was at fault in the crash, which is still under investigation.

The woman was not hurt.
