Walmart gunman linked to 4 other robberies

COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- The man who robbed a Walmart at gunpoint Tuesday evening has been caught, and Colorado Springs Police officers said he may be linked to four other robberies since late January.

Officers arrested 32-year-old William Visor Wednesday afternoon in the 2700 block of Reeve Circle.

Officers investigated the Tuesday robbery and were able to identify a car they thought was involved. An officer saw the car Wednesday at a mall near Academy Boulevard and Fountain Boulevard, and police set up surveillance. When Visor got into the Ford Taurus, officers pulled him over and arrested him.

Officers said they gathered enough evidence after establishing the pattern of robberies to arrest Visor, who also goes by the names William Lizer and Lamar Gibson.

Visor is also allegedly responsible for the following robberies:

- Natural Grocers in the 1800 block of South Nevada Avenue on April 2
- Walmart in the 700 block of South 8th Street on March 29
- Kohl's in the 2700 block of Janitell Road on Jan. 29
- Target in the 1600 block of East Cheyenne Mountain Boulevard on Jan. 27.

So far, he has only been charged with Tuesday's robbery.
