COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- More than 1,000 of the top wheelchair basketball athletes from across the country are in Colorado Springs for the National Wheelchair Basketball tournament.

The tournament, which started Thursday, will host most of the games at the U.S. Olympic Training Center.

Tip off and local celebrity game gave locals some insight to the difficulties these athletes face and overcome everyday.

Team FOX21 battled it out against some of the National Wheelchair Basketball Association players and found out wheelchair basketball takes a lot of skill.
