COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- It is official, Tim Tebow is headed to the Big Apple.

Tebow was put on the trading block Monday when the Broncos secured Peyton Manning as their next starting quarterback.

Wednesday morning it was announced Tebow had been traded to the New York Jets for two draft picks.

In the afternoon, the trade "hit a snag," but was later made official.

So, just a few weeks after he lead the Broncos to the second round of the playoffs, Tebow is leaving Denver.

"It is upsetting, I think they should have kept him with Peyton Manning and coached him under his wing to make him a little bit better," Broncos fan James Fletcher said.

"I was kind of sad about it, I feel like we still need him as a secondary quarterback," Broncos fan Chris Aira said.

Meanwhile others said they are glad Tebow is moving on to better opportunities.

"Hearing about the Manning trade and how he kind of got booted off a little bit is upsetting, but he is on to better things," Broncos fan Scott Micek said.

"He has got to do what he has got to do to improve and better his career, so I think it is a good thing," Broncos fan Hannah Gingrich said.

"I have a lot of faith he will rebound from this and be a star no matter where he goes," Broncos fan Mayor Steve Bach said.

Along with his play, fans also said they fell in love with Tebow's personality and character.

"He is just such a team player, and he gets everyone involved and revved up and it is fun to see that," Gingrich said.

"He is just a really fine person, so it is a bittersweet day," Bach said.

"He has a great personality and I like the way he works as a team player," Fletcher said.
