COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Hospital officials said they were forced to sedate a drunk woman after she refused to cooperate and became violent with staff members Monday evening.

The incident began when Colorado Springs Police officers found a drunk woman who refused to leave her ex-boyfriend's home in the 2200 block of Golden Gate Grove around 6:40 p.m. As officers tried to escort her out, she became violent, resisting and kicking officers.

One officer had a minor injury to his wrist, and the woman got minor cuts and an ankle injury from the struggle with officers.

The woman was arrested for trespassing and assault on a peace officer. She was taken to the hospital, which is where she was sedated after continuing to be uncooperative.
