COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs Police officers are searching for an armed robbery suspect after he hit a liquor store late Tuesday night.

Police rushed to Lake Liquors in the 500 block of Union Boulevard after a lone gunman burst into the store and pointed a gun at the clerk.

The suspect demanded money and fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Officers said they searched the Memorial Park area but the suspect was never found.

He is described as a white man in his 30's or 40's, standing 5'8'' with a medium build.

He was last seen wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt and a bandana over his face.
