COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- A K-9 officer took down a wanted felon after he ran from Colorado Springs Police officers.

Officers had received a tip that a wanted felon was at a Super 8 motel in the 4600 block of Rusian Road late Sunday night.

The suspect, Andre Billington, left a BB gun and fled the scene as police arrived.

After failing to stop and give himself up, police sent a K-9 after him.

Billington was treated at a local hospital before being taken into custody.

Officers also found another wanted suspect hiding out in the motel room.

Officers arrested Cynthia Goodboe for multiple felony and misdemeanor warrants.
