COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Officials with Skyway Elementary School evacuated the building late Monday morning because of a nearby gas leak.

Colorado Springs Fire crews requested the evacuation as a precaution but didn't give details as to the extent of the leak.

Students were evacuated around 11:45 a.m. and picked up at nearby Jenkins Park.
