COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- When those white flakes start to fly one thing often comes to mind: "Snow Day!"

Friday many school districts were closed, and dozens of people were celebrating their snow day at Cottonwood Creek Park.

Not even freezing temperatures and strong winds could keep them from their fun.

"Just sledding," said one.

"I just like the feel of the snow," said another.

The snow was thin but there was just enough for sledders to be able to zip down the hill.

"Doesn't come much, so it's always nice to get out here," one sledder said.

Kids of all ages joined in on the fun.

"I am playing in the snow with my two sons," said one mother who took a few runs down the hill.

Everyone agreed that snow days are great, but as far as what the best thing is about them, that remains unclear.

"Definitely the sledding," said one.

"That we get to spend time with family," said another.

"I don't have to turn in the paper that was due today," said a student.

"Sledding," said one brother.

"Snow," said the other.

"No school!" replied the first.

"Yeah, yeah, no school!"

At last, some agreement.
