A man drives the wrong way on I-25, and police said alcohol is to blame.

It happened around 1:30 a.m.

The driver was heading south in the northbound lanes when he was spotted.

Officers said they were eventually able to catch up with the car near the Fillmore exit, where it was stopped.

They said the driver, Stephen Smith, traveled in the wrong lanes from the Woodmen exit to Fillmore.

Smith was charged with a DUI among other things.
