COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- A man who allegedly assaulted his wife threatened to kill her Wednesday surrendered to officers after a short standoff.

According to Colorado Springs Police officers, Jerald Pullet had at least one gun in his house in the 6400 block of Mesedge Drive in the city around 11:47 a.m., which he threatened his wife with after the alleged assault.

Officers said someone else called in the disturbance, and when they arrived the woman had left the house from the back and went around front to meet the officers.

Officers said she was somewhat hysterical but said Pullet was still inside with a gun, and there were other guns in the house as well.

Officers set up a tactical unit, but a few minutes later Pullet came out of the house and surrendered.

Pullet will be charged with felony menacing, third degree assault and domestic harassment.
