PETERSON AIR FORCE BASE, COLO. -- Sad news from of Peterson Air Force Base.
Officals there announced Saturday one of their airman has been killed while serving in Afghanistan.
They said 24-year-old Airman 1st Class Matthew Seidler died Jan. 5 from injuries he suffered in an improvised explosive device attack in southern Afghanistan.
Seidler was with the 21st Civil Engineer Squadron, and was supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.
He entered active duty in November 2009, and was from Westminster, Md.
