COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs Police officers arrested a man who tried stealing from a woman at the Murray Hill Apartments while she was sleeping early Friday morning.

Officers said 29-year-old Gustavo Camp somehow got into the woman's apartment in the 4200 block of Galley Road in the city and began stealing items from her room while she was sleeping. 

At one point, Camp allegedly lifted the blankets that were on top of the woman, causing her to wake up.

Camp was held down by other residents of the apartment complex.

The person who reported the burglary said it was a sexual assault, but officers said there was no physical contact, and Camp did not threaten the woman.

Camp was arrested for second degree burglary because he had some of the woman's things on him when officers arrived.
