Teller County hunting for armed man

TELLER COUNTY, COLO. -- The Teller County Sheriff's Office is on the hunt for an armed man who shot at a deputy's car Thursday morning.

Deputies said they were responding to a home for a welfare check on a man who said he had a gun.

When officials arrived on scene the man fired two rounds into the air and one round into a sheriff's car before he fled into the surrounding woods.

The suspect has been identified as Kai Skov.

He is 6'6'' tall and weighs about 200 pounds with red hair and blue eyes.

Officials said he is being considered armed and dangerous, and they plan to continue their search for him in the daylight hours.
