DENVER (AP) -- A winter storm is expected to bring up to 2 feet of snow to parts of Colorado's mountains as well as the first snow of the season for Denver.
The storm is expected to impact the Front Range late Tuesday into Wednesday.
Todd Dankers of the National Weather Service, said Denver could get between 6 and 10 inches of snow, with up to 15 falling in the foothills west of the city.
Mountains east of the Continental Divide are forecast to get the most snow. Rocky Mountain National Park could get between 1 and 2 feet.
Many trees along the Front Range still have leaves and the snow could cause limbs to break, triggering power outages. Xcel Energy says it's bringing in crews from Grand Junction to help with repairs.
