PUEBLO WEST, COLO. -- Fremont County Sheriff's deputies have release the name of the climber who died Sunday afternoon in western Fremont County.

Deputies said 36-year-old Kelly Riggins died while climbing in an area west of Cotopaxi near Highway 50. 

According to deputies, Riggins was an inexperienced climber but was climbing with someone who had experience. Investigators said Riggins didn't have his rigging attached properly and fell 80 feet to his death.

Deputies said the death appears to be accidental, and there was no indication of foul play.

Riggins was from Pueblo West.
