Crash leaves 1 with life-threatening injuries

COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- A crash between a motorcycle and a pickup truck late Thursday night left one person with life-threatening injuries.

Colorado Springs Police officers said an officer was in the area of East Fountain Boulevard and North Union when he heard a loud crash.

The officer said a truck had turned left in the front of a motorcycle that was traveling eastbound on Fountain.

Both the driver of the bike and the bike's passenger were ejected.

They were both transported to the hospital, the driver suffering from life-threatening injuries, the passenger with serious injuries.

The driver of the truck complained of shoulder pain but refused medical treatment.

Officials said drugs and alcohol do not appear to be factors in the collision, but the crash is still under investigation.
