EL PASO COUNTY, COLO. -- El Paso County Sheriff's deputies said the former Ellicott School Board member who was originally arrested in September for "sexting" a student has been rearrested Wednesday for sexual assault on a child.
Deputies said 37-year-old Stefanie Dickinson is facing charges of sexual assault on a child, a class 3 felony and is in jail on a $25,000 bond after being arrested at her home around 1:30 p.m.
"In any type of crime you can have one victim that comes forward," Sgt. Mike Schaller with the El Paso County Sheriff's Office said. "The crime is discovered, and that leads a path to past incidents and victims."
Dickinson was arrested Sept. 18 for Internet luring of a child, a class 4 felony, after allegedly texting sexually explicit messages to a 14-year-old boy.
The boy supposedly took a trip with Dickinson and her family before the school year started and began receiving the texts from Dickinson shortly after they returned.
Dickinson was the school board's treasurer, but has since resigned.
