PUEBLO COUNTY, COLO. -- Pueblo County Sheriff's deputies arrested two men who broke into a home while residents were there and stole several items Tuesday night.
Deputies responded to the home in the 5000 block of Red Creek Springs Road around 11 p.m. The suspects had already left when deputies arrived, but the 911 caller had said several people were being held against their will.
The residents said one man kept them on the couch while the other gathered valuable items from the house. They said both wore gloves.
Deputies gathered information and arrested the suspects in Pueblo around 3 a.m. Wednesday.
During the arrest, 29-year-old Jason Escobar tried to resist and was stunned by deputies. The other suspect, 29-year-old Bryan Brown, tried giving deputies false information to avoid being arrested.
Both are facing multiple felony charges with possible additional charges pending. They are being held without bond until a court hearing.
“These men are reported to have brought a gun and knives into a home they weren’t invited into and held several people against their will while they robbed this family," Pueblo County Sheriff Kirk Taylor said in a statement. "I commend my deputies for staying on the trail of these suspects throughout the night in order to bring this case to its conclusion. It demonstrates the thoroughness and determination needed to get our job done.”
