COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. (AP) -- Colorado State Patrol troopers say they had trouble removing a dead bear cub because the mother bear refused to leave its side.
Troopers say they were afraid the mother bear would attack after her cub was killed by a car on Monday west of Denver.
According to KKTV-TV, troopers called wildlife officials who stood by until the mother bear left.
