COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- A former Fountain-Fort Carson High School teacher accused of sexually assaulting a child is scheduled to make a court appearance Tuesday.

Colorado Springs Police officers arrested 36-year-old Anthony Ribaudo in June for sexual assault on a child by one in a position of trust.

Police said Ribaudo admitted to having sex with a 17-year-old student in May in a training room during a basketball tournament.

Ribaudo was a Dean of Students and the men's varsity basketball coach at Fountain-Fort Carson high school.

He has since resigned from District 8.
