COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- A local family is displaced following an early morning fire.

Firefighters were called to the home on Golden Hills Road near Rockrimmon Boulevard and I-25 in Colorado Springs around 2 a.m. Sunday.

When they arrived, they said the garage and one car were on fire, and the flames were spreading to the house.

Three people were home at the time, and were able to escape along with a dog.

One person was treated for minor burns on scene.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
