COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- The same Walgreens that was robbed by a man dressed as a pirate back in May has been targeted for robbery again by another man in disguise.
Colorado Springs Police officers said a man with a fake beard and mustache tried to rob the Walgreens in the 900 block of North Circle Drive in Colorado Springs around 3 a.m. Friday.
The man entered the store and walked back toward the pharmacy. The manager saw this and alerted the pharmacy employees, who quickly secured the area.
The man saw the pharmacy being secured and quickly fled the store.
The manager said he saw what he thought was a gun in the man's backpack.
Officers said the man was on foot, and they were not able to locate him.
On May 22, the same store was robbed by a man dressed as a pirate, who stole drugs from the pharmacy.
Witnesses describe the suspect from Friday's robbery as a white man about 5'8" with a medium build. The May 22 robber was described as a white man about 5'9" and 150 pounds. Officers did not say if they thought the suspects were the same man.
