TRINIDAD, Colo. (AP) -- A wildfire burning in New Mexico has prompted the closure of southbound lanes on an 11 mile stretch of Interstate 25 south of Trinidad.
Colorado Department of Transportation spokeswoman Mindy Crane said it is unclear which fire prompted the closure of the lanes into New Mexico Sunday afternoon.
A 693-square-mile wildfire in Arizona has already burned across the state line into New Mexico, sending particulates into the air and causing health concerns downwind as far as Albuquerque and Santa Fe.
Additional details were not immediately available.
