COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs police officers responding to a hit-and-run crash early Tuesday morning turn into hit-and-run victims themselves.

The crash happened just before 1 a.m. in the 6200 block of Twin Oaks Drive.

Officers had received information that the suspected driver, Robert Doskey, had left the scene and was in the Lamp Light Square at the Park Apartments.

Investigators said when officers arrived at the location Doskey sideswiped an unattended, marked police car.

Doskey was arrested two blocks away and charged with hit-and-run and driving under the influence.
