FALCON, COLO. -- More details were released on the Falcon School District 49 bus service for the 2011-12 school year.

The district's new fee-for-service format will be $1 per ride.

Students will have a ride card that will be scanned each time they get on the bus. Parents will have the option to pay online or with a mailed-in check.

There will also be a new circuit routing system, so that even students within walking distance can walk to the nearest stop and catch a ride.

Charter and Choice students will also have access to the service, which was not available in previous years.

In April, the school board approved the plan in order to keep the bus service without have to use money from the district's budget.

If a student rides to and from school every day of the school year, the cost will add up to $372.
