PUEBLO, COLO. -- The Colorado State Patrol is investigating a single car crash that killed a 12-year-old boy and injured two others.

The crash happened on I-25, about three miles north of Pueblo Sunday evening.

The truck was heading northbound when it went off the western side of the road.

Authorities said the driver of the truck overcorrected, causing the truck to roll.

The driver, 39-year-old Michele Meastas of Pueblo, and the front seat passenger, 49-year-old Reynaldo Perez were ejected from the truck.

Meastas sustained serious injuries, while Perez only sustained moderate injuries.

Both were transported to Parkview Medical Center.

The truck's rear seat passenger, a 12-year-old boy, was partially ejected from the truck and sustained fatal injuries.

None of the occupants were wearing seatbelts.

Alcohol is suspected as a contributing factor in the crash.
