COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Three men were arrested Sunday morning after police said they smashed a window at a Conoco station and stole several items.

Colorado Springs police officers were called to the gas station in the 4300 block of East Fountain Boulevard in the city to investigate a burglary in progress.

According to police the three men broke into the Conoco by smashing a window and then took alcohol, cigarettes and other grocery items.

Officers spotted a car matching the description of the suspect vehicle in the area of Ruskin Drive and Whittier Drive.

Police said there were three men and two females in the car.

Michael Angelo Velasquez, Steven Enlow and Ryan Alvarez were arrested. The two females were released.

Police said the stolen items were returned to the Conoco manager.
