DENVER (AP) -- Municipalities across Colorado are holding elections on a range of issues that include medical marijuana and how future local leaders will be voted into office.

Castle Rock, Grand Junction, Larkspur, and Poncha Springs will decide Tuesday whether to allow medical marijuana facilities. Fort Collins voters will determine whether to institute a "rank voting" system for future elections, meaning people will choose candidates by ranking them in order of their preference.

Colorado Springs voters will decide whether to increase the number of candidates who are at-large councilmembers and voters in Grand Junction will weigh a $65 million debt question for downtown improvements.

The Colorado Municipal League says at least 14 cities and towns will have elections in the coming months and most of them will be conducted through mail.
