PUEBLO WEST, COLO. -- Pueblo County deputies are calling the death of an 18-year-old man who had medical problems 'suspicious.'

Pueblo West fire officials responded to a call from family members around 3:42 a.m. Friday and found him lying on a futon in the basement of his home in the 300 block of East Stardust Drive in Pueblo West.

Medical officials pronounced the man dead on scene after checking him.

The man had medical problems, according to the family, and was taking prescription medicine.

Deputies said there are no indications of foul play, but the man's age is the reason for the 'suspicious' classification.

The death is under investigation, and an autopsy is pending.
