COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Maybe the suspect was hungry?  If so, he chose neither a smart way to obtain food, nor a healthy choice.

Colorado Springs police arrested 20-year-old Isaiah Pickens late Tuesday night on an aggravated robbery charge after Pickens allegedly robbed a Domino's Pizza delivery man at gunpoint.

But Pickens didn't steal money, and he didn't injure the delivery man.

Instead, Pickens stole the pizza and hot wings the man was delivering to an apartment. Not exactly the healthiest choice.

Police were called to the Domino's in the 2800 block of South Academy Boulevard around 10:23 p.m. after the man reported the robbery.  After interviewing the man at the store, police went to the Cedar Ridge Apartment complex in the 3300 block of East Fountain Boulevard to check for a scene, witnesses and possibly a suspect.

Officers found the number Pickens had called from was a pay phone at the complex, and the apartment he had the pizza delivered to was vacant.

While walking around looking for witnesses, officers made contact with the residents of an apartment with loud voices and music coming from inside. Pickens was inside the apartment, and officers identified him as a man matching the description the delivery man gave of the suspect.

The delivery man identified Pickens as the man who robbed him. Police did not say whether Pickens was the person who called in the order.

There is also no word on whether or not Pickens was able to finish his late-night snack before police found him.

The investigation is ongoing.
