COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. (AP) -- The mother of a woman whose body was found behind Woodland Park High School remains baffled by her daughter's death.
A preliminary autopsy report by the El Paso County Coroner released Saturday says 33-year-old Mindy Lee likely died of hypothermia.
Her frozen body was found Wednesday more than four days after she jumped out a truck and wandered away from friends.
Her friends told police they searched the area but couldn't find her in the dark.
Lee's mother Vicki White says it's impossible that her daughter would walk through rough terrain without shoes.
Toxicology tests are pending.
Lee is survived by two daughters, ages 4 and 14.
