COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs Police responded to report of a robbery early Sunday in the area of the 2300 block of south Academy Boulevard.
Two victims told police they were walking home at about 4:30 a.m. through the parking lot of Astrozon Plaza when a dark-colored sedan pulled up to them.
Two or three black males -- at least two of them armed with guns -- jumped out of the vehicle and confronted the victims. The suspects allegedly told the victims "give me everything you got." Victim number two ran, while victim number one gave the suspects his wallet and baseball hat.
As the suspects ran back to the sedan, one of the suspects allegedly fired a shot at one of the victims, striking him in the right hip area. The suspects left in the vehicle, possibly southbound on Academy Boulevard.
Victim number one was transported to Memorial Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. The other victim was not injured.
Officers checked the area for the suspects but did not find them.
The suspects were described as black males in their late teens to early twenties, wearing black-and-gray-colored clothing.
The vehicle was described only as a dark-colored sedan possibly driven by a female.
