DENVER -- The Denver Police Department and the FBI Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task Force responded to a bank robbery that occurred on Wednesday, June 9, at approximately 12:30 p.m. at the Bank of the West, 2050 S. Downing Street.

The FBI Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task Force has dubbed this bank robber the “Perennial Bandit.” It is believed this is his second bank robbery of the same bank, around the same time of year. His first was on June 11, 2009.

This yearly pattern of his blooming crime is the reason for his nickname as he only seems to pop up once a year.

The suspect presented a demand note to the teller.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 22 years of age, 5 feet 9 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall, 175 pounds, with a blond buzz-cut hair style.
