FLORENCE, COLO. -- Update 4:15 p.m.

Fremont County Sheriff's Office has completed the investigation into the early Monday fire in Florence.

Officials have determined that wounds on the deceased man were self-inflicted and that the fire was intentionally set.

There will be no criminal case forwarded to the District Attorney's Office.

The Florence Fire Department responded to report of a house fire early Sunday at 1188 County Road 119 at approximately 3 a.m.

The house was ungulfed in flames when firefighting crews arrived.

After the discovery of a deceased male body, the Fremont County Sheriff's Office was contacted and arrived on scene.

The Combined Investigative Response Team (CIRT) was notified and is conducting an ongoing investigation, also joined by the Colorado Bureau of Investigation.
