DENVER (AP) — Denver prosecutors have filed robbery charges against a man accused of breaking into a home and taking the victim's medical marijuana and other items.

Twenty-three-year-old Joseph Butkovich was jailed Tuesday, with bond set at $250,000.

He is charged with first-degree burglary, aggravated robbery of a controlled substance and theft. He was due in court Thursday to be advised of the charges.

Prosecutors allege Butkovich used a gun to force himself into the 24-year-old victim's home Nov. 9, then tied up the victim with duct tape and stole marijuana, a laptop computer and other items.

It wasn't clear whether Butkovich had retained a lawyer.
