COLORADO SPRINGS. CO -- Operation Christmas Child  sends donated shoe box gifts to needy children all over the world during the holidays. The nonprofit organization is in need of donations from the community.  Here's how you can help:

*Fill a shoe box with things like school supplies, toys and hygiene items. 

*Indicate on the box whether the gift is for a boy or girl and the child's age.

*Include a $7.00 donation to help cover shipping and other project costs.

*Place a rubber band around each closed shoe box and drop off at a collection site near you.
