Every December, the El Paso County Deptartment of Human Services organizes an event called Feed the Children.  Last year,  1,200 less fortunate families received food, toiletries, clothes and toys at the event.  But, the need is even greataer this year. They are asking for volunteers and donations including:

- Turkeys and Hams

- Non-perishable food items

- Clothing

- Toys and stuffed animals

- Personal hygiene items

In addition,  Whole Foods is helping raise money to be able to purchase more food to give to need families.  On Thursday, November 5^th 5% of all purchases at both Whole Foods in the Springs will go toward the event.
