COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Tuesday morning an incident that involved a baseball bat, a chair, a stabbing and a damaged Dodge truck had Colorado Springs Police Department sorting out details of an incident that began about 8:30 a.m. Tuesday at 42 S. Chelton Road.

The disturbance resulted in the arrest of two women.

Vanessa Lucero, 4265 Galley Road, was charged with second-degree assault, criminal mischief, DUI and traffic charges.

Tanya Buster faces a second-degree assault charge.

Details revealed that a chair had allegedly been thrown through a window at approximately 4:30 a.m. at 42 S. Chelton Road. The residents learned who had done it and went to 4265 Galley Road. This resulted in a burglary complaint being issued at about 7:30 a.m.

An hour later, Lucero and Buster went to the Chelton address and a fight occurred between Octavia Johnson and Layatoya McCabe. Knives, a chair and a baseball bat were used in the fight, according to the police report.

Lucero allegedly then drove a Dodge truck into Johnson, pinning her against a Chevy Suburban. The truck also pushed a Buick Century into the home's garage which caused structural damage.

Johnson allegedly walked onto the truck's hood and windshield as she tried to kick Lucero through the broken window. Buster and Johnson tried to leave the scene in the Dodge truck when they were stopped by police officers.

Lucero also reported a domestic violence situation during the investigation.

The local humane society was called to assist in picking up a pet snake at the site.
