COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Thomas Trujillo, 45, was arrested for aggravated robbery Sunday night after he attemped to purchase cigarettes from the 7-11 Store, 995 N. Circle Dr., and his credit card was declined. He then jumped over the counter and beat up the clerk.

Trujillo grabbed cartons of cigarettes, according to police reports, and left the store.

The clerk was not seriously injured.

Witnesses provided the license plate number and description of the man's white pickup truck to police.

An hour later, police found the suspect's truck was found in the parking lot of Safeway, 1121 N. Circle Dr., and arrested Trujillo.
