COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs police have arrested Joshua Vannatta,19, of Colorado Springs for the Monday night shooting of a man and a woman at Boulder Heights Apartments, 2130 E. Boulder St., just before 8 p.m.

The suspect turned himself into authorities Monday night at the Stetson Hills Division Substation at 4110 Tutt Blvd. just after 10 p.m.

The female victim, who was shot in the right arm and chest, has been identified as Amy Montoya, 19, of Colorado Springs. She remains in Memorial Hospital where she is listed in serious and stable condition, but expected to survive her wounds. 

The male victim, who was shot in the lower face, has been identified as Richard Richardson, 26, of Colorado Springs. He is listed in serious and stable condition at Memorial Hospital, and is also expected to survive his wounds. 

Vannatta was booked into the El Paso County Criminal Justice Center on the charge of attempted first-degree murder. 

No additional arrests are expected in this case.
