COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs Police Department officials report that at approximately 9:10 a.m. Thursday, two armed men robbed the Aventa Credit Union at 3010 Willamette Pl.

Descriptions of the suspects are somewhat varied, based on witness statements.

The suspects are described as black males in their 20s, 5 feet 6 inches to 6 feet tall, with slender/athletic builds. Both wore ski-type masks, which covered their faces. Each suspect was armed with a large-framed, semi-automatic handgun.

There were numerous bank employees and customers inside at the time of the robbery.

The suspects ran from the bank; there is no vehicle description at this time.

Detectives from the robbery unit are currently developing more detailed information and descriptions on the suspects.
