FOX21 Morning News reporter Meaghan Collier talked with El Paso County Clerk and Recorder Bob Balink early this morning as the polls opened to see what was happening.

Balink says he has 200 back-up election judges ready to deploy to sites if some workers have not shown up.

He says a record was set for early voting this year, with 37,000 votes cast. Mail-in ballots numbered 153,000 requested with 123,000 returned through yesterday.

Balink explains that election rules don't allow persons to wear buttons, t-shirts, hats or signs with names of candidates when they're voting.
