COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- The Colorado Wildland Fire and Incident Management Academy is celebrating its 20th year in 2013. More than 800 people from 28 states are scheduled to attend courses at University of Colorado, Colorado Springs.

"Students come in here with the expectation of quality training," said Incident Commander Jim Krugman. "Both from the book and the experience of the instructors."

The Academy's mission is to "promote safety and integrate the efforts of local, State, Federal, Tribal, private-sector and non-governmental emergency response organizations."
