CANON CITY, COLO. -- Paul Ryan has canceled a scheduled campaign visit to Canon City Tuesday because of Hurricane Sandy.
The Congressman and Vice Presidential candidate was scheduled to make yet another stop in southern Colorado this week but has canceled all campaign events for Monday and Tuesday, instead focusing on helping those in need along the east coast.
Gov. Mitt Romney has also canceled all events for Monday and Tuesday, as has President Obama.
Obama was scheduled to visit Colorado Springs Tuesday but canceled his event so he could monitor and assist with the storm from Washington, D.C.
Tuesday would have been Ryan's first visit to Canon City, the largest city in a county that voted solidly for Republican challenger John McCain in the 2008 race.
Obama's trip to Colorado Springs would have been his second official campaign visit to the city. He was at Colorado College in August.
Neither Obama nor Ryan have announced plans to reschedule.
