SOUTHERN COLORADO -- After throwing their support behind Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney in the second presidential debate Oct. 16, voters in the FOX21News.com poll saw the third debate much differently.

As of noon Tuesday, 59 percent of the 7,364 people who voted in the poll though President Barack Obama won Monday night's third and final debate, which focused on foreign policy. Romney got 38 percent of the votes.

The same poll was posted at the same time on FOX21News.com following the second debate last week, and 58 percent of the 5,492 voters thought Romney won. Obama got only 37 percent.

As we said after debate number two, there is no way to track how many of the poll's voters actually live in southern Colorado. The second debate's poll results aligned almost identically with the 2008 election results for FOX21 News' viewing area, but Monday night's poll is almost the opposite.

National polls show Obama won both the second and third debates by a slight margin. The two candidates are in a virtual tie in the most recent election polls.
