WOODLAND PARK, COLO. -- Police in Woodland Park are investigating the attempted abduction of an eight-year-old.

It happened around 11:00 a.m. Sunday near Forest Edge Circle.

Authorities said a man opened his passenger door, and asked the boy to get inside.

The child refused, and ran to a friend's house for help.

The Woodland Park P.D. said the suspect is a white male with short hair, and a full beard that went to his chest.

He was wearing a dark colored beanie cap, and a black shirt with a white skull on the front.

Police belive the suspect is driving a blue Jeep, similar to the one in the picture, with a large rack on the roof.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Woodland Park Police Department at 719-687-9262.
